Biography:

Michael G. Turner, Ph.D., is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He received his Ph.D. in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2000. His research interests generally involve understanding how delinquency and victimization evolve over the life course. Most recently, he has been engaged in research investigating the long-term effects of experiencing repeated bully victimizations. Over the past decade, Turner has secured over one million dollars to evaluate several problem behavior experienced by youths including binge drinking, gang involvement, and bullying. He has recently published in Pediatrics, Journal of Criminal Justice, Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, Justice Quarterly, and Criminal Justice and Behavior.
